BLS - Basic Life Support is CPR/AED for Health Care Providers

BLS classes are designed to teach the skills to recognize and manage emergency situations. These classes are taught using simulated clinical scenarios, which include hands-on participation. The importance of effective team communication and appropriate action during resuscitation is emphasized. BLS is the most basic training you will need to prepare for future life support classes as a health care professional.

Heart Saver CPR/AED is for Concerned Citizens and Non-Health Care Providers

Heart Saver classes are designed to teach concerned citizens how to recognize and manage emergency situations. these classes are taught using simulated clinical scenarios, which include hands-on participation.

Both Classes Teach:

• The Chain of Survival
• Activating EMS/Calling 911
• Perform 1 and 2 rescuer CPR with rescue breathing using mouth to mouth, face shield, mouth to mask and the bag mask device
• A hard shell mask will be provided for you to practice with in class. This mask is yours to keep as a protective fluid barrier for future use.
• Relieve foreign body airway obstruction for the adult, child or infant victim
• Use of the AED (Automatic External Defibrillator)

This certification is valid for 2 years.
